As part of Baker Labels 45th birthday celebrations we are entering a team of at least 45 runners in the Sportstiks Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run on Sunday 18th March.

For some the challenge of running 5km is as great as it is for others running 13.1miles and they’d all love encouragement and support to raise money for Georgia’s Teenage Cancer Appeal and Kids Inspire. We’re going to stand out from the crowd in very snazzy running tops and those running the half marathon have the added challenge to “Beat the Boss” Steve Baker!

Georgia’s Teenage Cancer Appeal (GTCA) aims to improve the lives of children and young adults in Essex, who are suffering from cancer and other life threatening and life limiting conditions. From laptops to help teenagers continue their studies and keep in contact friends during extended stays in hospital to garden playhouses, pushchairs and bean bags. From trips to Legoland bringing families together to covering travel costs of regular visits to London hospitals, GTCA will do whatever they can to make their lives a little better during the most difficult time.

Kids Inspire supports young people across Essex who are at an educational, social and/or economic disadvantage, for example, they might be experiencing relationship abuse, anxiety or be subject to bullying. The Charity mainly supports those recovering from trauma and/or dealing with emerging mental health issues.
