Our 50th Year of Business
We celebrated our half century of label printing this year, and we didn’t hold back. It’s been a busy year and here are some of the highlights.
New Company Logo
Rebranded and Refreshed
To mark our 50th year of business we launched a new look. We wanted to create a style that reflects our quality, innovation and reliability while also showing our commitment to continued growth and development.

Digicon 3000 is installed in BakPac
In our continued commitment to invest in new equipment and technologies, we have expanded the finishing capabilities of our digital pouch production facility, BakPac, with a Digicon 3000 from ABG and Edale. Read more

Brentwood Half Marathon
Our team of runners and volunteers once again took part in the local charity fundraising event. We have been involved in organising and sponsoring this event for many years with our Sportstiks division. From 2024 Bakers will be the official title sponsor. Read more

Full Company Day Out
Business was closed for the day and the 100+ staff were bussed into the capital for a day of fun and adventure to celebrate the 50th anniversary. First we sped down the Thames on the RIBS before foiling the Gunpowder Plot at the Tower of London
May / june
A B Graphic Investments and Collaborations
In May we worked closely with A B Graphic to host an online event to promote the Digijet module on the Series 3 Digicon. In June we updated our Rewind department with a new ABG SRi Rewinder and Omega RTS330 Sheeter.

New HP Indigo 6K
A major reshuffle within our Label production floor was required to remove one of our older HP Indigos (installed in 2014) and replace it with a brand new HP Indigo 6K with ILP. Read more

Bakers Foundation is Launched
In celebration of our 50th anniversary, we established the Bakers Foundation, a testament to our commitment to giving back. This year, we donated £150,000 to 23 different charities and good causes, contributing to the betterment of our community. Read more

The highlight of Label Expo was undoubtedly the crowning moment when we were honoured as the Converter of the Year 2023 at the Label Industry Global Awards. This international accolade celebrates companies that champion diversity, invest in training, and contribute to community initiatives. Exhibition Debut
The Print Show – Breaking New Ground
In a historic move, we exhibited at The Print Show for the first time in our 50-year history. This venture allowed us to expand our reach and elevate our profile within the commercial print sector, marking another milestone in our journey.

Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge – Conquering New Heights
On September 30th, a team of 27 adventurous souls from Bakers took on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, hiking over 25 miles in under 12 hours. Not only did we conquer the summits of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, but we also raised £1245 for the charity Wipe Away Those Tears. Read more
