Baker Labels is delighted to welcome Phil Smith to the management team of the Brentwood based trade label printer.
Phil joins Mandy and Steve Baker, Paul Sykes (Production Manager) and Jamie Doogan (Commercial Manager) as General Manager BakPac. This is the first time in 10 years that Bakers have introduced a new member of the team at senior management level and is a reflection of the continuous, positive growth of the UK leading trade label printer. With almost 30 years of label production behind him, Phil Smith has a lot of knowledge and experience to bring to Bakers.
Career History
Phil joined Sussex Labels in 1990 where he started in rewind / packing and moved up to production planning & estimating. In 1999 he joined Tinsley Robor labels taking on a number of management rolls from accounts, technical, commercial and operations manager before being appointed operations director of AGI Labels. As the company was once again taken over, this time by AJS Labels he was appointed Commercial Director followed by Managing Director. When MPS absorbed AJS Labels Phil was appointed General Manager until he joined Baker Labels in June 2019.
