Theatre has the power to entertain, inspire, and bring people together. This World Theatre Day, on Thursday 27th March, we’re shining a spotlight on a venue that does just that- our local, Brentwood Theatre.

At Bakers, we’re passionate about supporting our local community, and Brentwood Theatre holds a special place in our hearts. For over 30 years, this fantastic studio theatre has been a hub for performances, learning opportunities and community events. Whether you want to enjoy a live show, take part in a workshop, watch a film or host a meeting in a creative space, Brentwood Theatre is a vital part of our local arts scene.

What’s great about Brentwood Theatre?

“Here at Brentwood Theatre we believe in the difference the performing arts can make to both individuals and to our local community at large. We are proud to be able to provide a space where audiences can come to be entertained and encounter new experiences right on their door-step, and where talented local performers can be lifted up and celebrated alongside our roster of professional productions.”

What Our Staff Say

Andy Driver

“We attended a private showing of the Christmas Classic “Elf”, and the evening was enjoyable for the whole family. This little theatre is a hidden gem with a great little bar area and friendly staff that made you feel welcome from the moment you stepped through the door. We enjoyed the main attraction in comfortable seating within the main theatre space. Not the biggest theatre space, but that is a positive, especially with LIVE performance. Obviously, this was a movie, but I for one will be keeping an eye out for future events at this brilliant venue.”

Andy Driver, Planning Administrator at Bakers

“I had a brilliant evening with my family for Brentwood Mac, a Fleetwood Mac tribute band, back in September. It is still spoken about today because of the great experience we had. The staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the theatre has a great atmosphere for families and people of all ages.”

“My family and I visited Brentwood Theatre for the first time in December for the Bakers movie night. Everything from the staff to the atmosphere in the theatre was welcoming. I was excited to learn that National Theatre Live is bringing performances to Brentwood Theatre. I cannot wait to visit again soon.”
