Bakers make £5,000 donation to Essex charity Kids Inspire.

The donation is specifically to allow the charity to update its IT equipment and software.

About Kids Inspire:

Kids Inspire support children in Essex to become healthy adults who contribute positively to society. They offer bespoke mentoring, therapy, training and activity packages to empower children and the adults around them to make positive choices and improve their lives. They are now the largest provider of clinical therapies in Essex, providing a variety of therapies tailored to the children’s needs. From art and drama therapies to family therapies and mentoring. Kids Inspire receive an increasing number of referrals from (EWMHS) Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services as they know we are able to offer some of the more complicated support necessary. This year they celebrate their 10th birthday and the number of children they support increases all the time.

“When we started we out sourced therapists as and when they were needed but now with the constant demand we now have a core team of therapists. We have been desperately needing an updated IT system and database to help us keep up with the volume of work we have but we’ve never had the money to be able to provide it. All the money we raise has always been needed to support the children’s projects. They will make a huge difference to the streamlining of projects and planning of grant applications. We’ve relied on donations of second hand or refurbished equipment in the past which often made the administration work labour intensive as they would be slow or unreliable. We already work so hard but with the new computers and IT system we’ll be able to work smarter. We can’t thank Bakers enough”. Rachael Basset from Kids Inspire

“We have supported different Kids Inspire projects for the last 5 years, each of which supported families and children directly sometimes in an emergency situation. This donation of £5,000 is a one off opportunity to help with the infrastructure of the charity, helping to strengthen the charity enough to take it to the next level. We’re very fortunate at Bakers to have access to the latest technology in IT systems and recognise the advantages this brings. We’re delighted to able to help the team at Kids Inspire” Steve Baker, Managing Director
