Bakers to be the new title sponsors for Brentwood Half Marathon 2024
The long-established running event, held in Brentwood Essex annually since 1979 will now officially be the Bakers Brentwood Half Marathon. This replaces the company’s athlete ID brand Sportstiks who has been the title sponsor since 2018.
“We have been involved in the Brentwood Half Marathon event in some way every year since we moved Baker Labels from Walthamstow to Brentwood in 2011. It has been a highlight every year to have entered a team of employees and their families to take part in the event for charities such as Kids Inspire. “
Sponsorship and promotion
We upped the level of involvement in 2018 when our athlete ID division Sportstiks became the title sponsors. Not only did this include provision of race bibs and any other printed products, but we also joined the Brentwood a Becket Rotary organising team to help plan and promote the event. The event is a valuable community and charity event that has raised millions of pounds for charities and good causes over the last 44 years.
Community support
Throughout the company’s 50-year history, supporting community events, organisations and charities has been a standard practice for Bakers. In the last year we have sponsored a local rugby club, a women’s football teams, funded the Santa’s grotto at a school Christmas fayre, provided window stickers and labels to local events and charities and given financial donations totalling over £50k to charities such as Kids Inspire, SNAP, the Brentwood Foodbank and others. It’s important for a large local business such as us to lead the way in championing the good work done in the community.
The Brentwood Half Marathon truly is a community event, now with collaboration from three local charities plus a local running club to organise the event. We are delighted to be the official title sponsors of the event for 2024.
